JEN KELLER ART

I am so excited to announce that my new line of art prints, Keller Kiddo Designs , is officially for sale on my website!  Bringing this style to the forefront of my creative body of work is absolutely thrilling. The work is fun, whimsical, and stays true to my own style of illustration. Every piece starts with a hand drawn image. Then I ink it by hand and finish the artwork digitally by choosing a tight color palate. This gives it a modern flare that would look great in any nursery or children's room.  The combination of a hand drawn style with a graphic color scheme make these pieces very versatile, fitting into any type of room design ranging from a soft classic look to a more contemporary feel that you see all over the marketplace today. I have started with two small collections.  My first one is called "Starry Night" and features lovable animals cozying up under the stars and moon. Hello friends! For the past few months I've been finding inspiration everywhere... including new babies! I have some special people in my life that have new little ones joining their families and I felt inspired to create artwork for them. Beautiful Mama Linda with Baby Finn, 3 months old.  I also decided to use this opportunity to expand my digital artwork.  I first used this style while working on cover art for the EXPLORE! series at Nomad Press. I was recently asked to do this year's Holiday Greeting Card for the Palo Alto Humane Society . As everyone knows, humane and ethical treatment of animals is a passion of mine and being able to use my skills in order to help my furry friends was an absolute joy! Being a rescue animal theme, I based these particular animals on the pets from my childhood (all rescued from shelters or from the street) and few from the present! PAHS assists in rescuing animals including dogs, cats, horses, birds & bunnies. I wanted to include as many of these animals as possible in a classic winter scene. I am always fascinated with inter species relationships and I was thrilled to find numerous photographs of horses paling around with both dogs and cats! I've seen horses on numerous occasions nuzzle the barn cats here in California and the dogs interacting with the horses I used to work with in Illinois. Animals are so great at looking past their own differences, too bad we humans can...
